Voice-of-customer research from recorded interviews

Voice-of-customer research examines how customers describe their needs, expectations and experiences. Proofolio.ai contributes recorded customer interviews, transcripts and stories that your team can use to explore those questions and check each insight against its source.

The library is useful for understanding why people bought, what nearly stopped them and what changed afterward. It gives your team the language and context behind a customer's decision.

Ask a specific question of the library

Start with a decision your team needs to make. For example, you might ask which objections your current website leaves unanswered or what customers expected before they began using the product.

  • What problem made these customers start looking for a solution?
  • Which alternatives did they consider, and why did they choose us?
  • What concerns nearly prevented a purchase?
  • What outcomes do they describe in their own words?

These are starting questions for your research, not findings about Proofolio's customers. The answers should come from the interviews you actually have.

Use Claude or ChatGPT with the interview sources

Proofolio connects its library to Claude and ChatGPT through the Model Context Protocol (MCP). Your team can ask questions in plain language and find supporting transcripts, stories, quotes and clips.

Ask for the supporting interviews as well as the summary. Review the original passages, check the context and look for accounts that disagree. A connected private library does not automatically become public or appear in web search.

Keep the evidence and its limits visible

Record which interviews support a finding and how many interviews you reviewed. If three of twelve participants raised an objection, report that count and scope rather than calling it a market-wide percentage.

Customers who accept an interview invitation may differ from customers who decline. A library built from happy customers can leave out churned buyers, unsuccessful users or people who chose an alternative. Missing perspectives are a reason to plan more research, not to fill the gaps with an AI-generated assumption.

Turn findings into a practical next step

Use a recurring objection to identify a question your website should answer. Use customers' own language to refine a message, while preserving the context of any quote you publish. Use a missing perspective to decide whom to invite next.

For an individual prospect, select a relevant case study, testimonial or clip that addresses their concern. For a broader decision, compare multiple accounts and document uncertainty. See how a customer interview library grows beyond case studies.

Build the evidence through interviews

Proofolio's AI interview process collects the conversation and keeps the source material with the resulting story. Browse published customer examples with their recordings to see the kind of evidence available for review.
